Growing (Up) Together

For several years the biggest desire of our daughter was nothing more than getting a sibling. After some previous abortions and some years of apparently infertility, we found our inner peace and were grateful for the great gift of our daughter. It was not easy to explain to her that and why she would probably remain a single child. But one day she said: `Mummy, do you know you are getting a baby?!` Even before I noticed my unexpected pregnancy, she realized it already. Her little brother was born exactly on the day of her 6th birthday:’My greatest present! Now we are growing (up) together!`
