With the "Jungles" series, Olivia Lavergne imagines territory and makes it her own. Her way of seeing things transforms landscape which becomes a photographic painting. The choice of the light technique called the chiaroscuro, the vegetal forms and colors -­ ochre, green, blue -­ which are standardized in the painting of landscapes, strengthen the unusual aspect of the scenes. This series is about the exploration of a territory and its metamorphosis. Olivia Lavergne is interested in mysterious vegetation, opulent forest, and uses the jungle as a starting point.
