"Морской волк" is a series of portraits taken on the atlantic ocean in October 2015 on a trip from Monaco to Kaliningrad. The STS sedov is the the largest traditional sailing ship in operation and functions today as a training vessel for students from the universities of Murmansk, Saint Petersburg and Arkhangelsk. The series consists of more than 100 portraits of cadets between the age of 18 and 26. As one of the only female passengers and also coming from Germany it was fascinating for me to understand different rules of masculinity which seem to have reached a point of suppression in the modern western societies
