Miriam Levine was an international opera singer and one of the dynamic residents living at the Lillian Booth Actors Home in New Jersey. This portrait is a part of the series An Intimate Encore; a fine art, multi media photographic series shot in one unique location, The Lillian Booth Actors Home in Englewood, New Jersey; an assisted living and nursing home for retired performing arts and entertainment professionals. This series of black & white portraits creates a respectful and honest visual narrative of the individual subjects' state of mind and their emotional, physical and mental health as they cope with and overcome the challenges of aging, while still continuing to share their talent, living together in an innovative and caring atmosphere.

Wendy Paton is an award winning American photographer best known for her dramatic black & white, candid, nocturnal portraits, first seen in her series and monograph, Visages de Nuit.
