This series of pictures were taken in Beijing on October 23rd, 2016. I used flashlights to cast the shadow. I took the pictures because I wanted to reflect a severe issue of teenagers. The shadow casting on the nude body of the model symbolizes the invisible confinement imposed on teenagers. The confinement may come from family, school, peer pressure, or simply the drastic emotional change at this particular stage. Teenagers are completely armless in front of such confinement, as if they are naked, and they simply are not able to beat it, as if they are fighting with shadow.
