In this series called Elements, I focus my attention on the detail of various buildings. In each case, I was drawn to the texture of the structures' exterior and the way they rendered light and shadow. I used Chinese Elements of water, wood, fire, earth and metal - the five-fold conceptual scheme that many traditional Chinese fields use, to explain a wide array of phenomena - to capture the distinct elements of each building.
I’m an avid, amateur fine art photographer currently based in London. I began my own journey with travel photography, aiming to capture the essence of each of the places I visited. Inspired by the contemporary environment of Singapore, I later focused my attention on cityscapes and architecture. More recently, I find myself attracted to nature and seascapes.
