My friends call themselves actors, artists, filmmakers, musicians, and skaters. As a photographer, I am a spectator, but the moments I capture determine how others remember them. These photos are those moments: two years of oxymorons fixed in an illusory paradise, the freedom to create, held hostage by doubt, insecurity, and fear of the future. Stillness in a world that seems to spin faster each day, frames of peace glimpsed in the chaotic whirlwind of life. I capture these photographs to make sense of what I see and celebrate the good, bad, and weird along the way.
