They are Japanese dance dancers. They paint their bodies and dance violently. Is this what Dante, the author of "La Divina Commedia" saw in the world beyond the gates? There were those who agonized in the darkness and sought help from God. There might have been people who were suffering so much that they resented God for no reason. Will they be saved someday? I took a picture imagining that.

I was born in Aichi Prefecture, Japan and currently work in Tokyo, Japan as an advertising and book designer. Photography is not my main job, but I have worked in a photography studio and to this day I take freelance work. I specialize in photographing people in motion, whether it's in the performing arts or dance, regardless of location.
