I have created a series of self-portraits imagining myself as other people. The scenes, costumes, make-up, and effects are all done by me alone.

Wisconsin based photographer, Cindy Hansen, has been honing her skills in staged self-portrait photography since 2018. Unleashing her inner child and wild imagination, she has produced the Imagine Me series as well as The Feminist Mystique project. Self-taught, Cindy works alone doing all the costuming, makeup and backgrounds, with occasional assistance from her husband as a secondary subject and shutter jockey. Her work is influenced by photographers such as Cindy Sherman, Uldus Bakhtiozina and Patty Carroll.
