The Sierra Nevada mountain range in California is a treasure trove of iconic landscapes, that reveal themselves only to the persevering traveler. From braving freezing cold atop mountains, to running away from bears, and hiking long distances, here is my series on some of the icons of the Sierras, taken at its most magical time: from dusk to dawn.
