A sibling relationship is likely to be the most enduring one in our lives and there are many lessons to be learnt from this intricate relationship. The photobook is full of spontaneous evocative images of young siblings peppered with inspiring anecdotes on values such as kindness, empathy and compassion. Chin Hock hopes the book can bring back some of the memorable childhood memories for the readers and his bigger wish is to trigger thoughts of rekindling or restoring familial relationships. Parents and educators can also use the book to teach important values to the children.
As an advocate of strong families, Chin Hock's family themed photographs have been selected for feature in the Ngee Ann Photographic Exhibition (NAPE), one of the largest photography exhibitions in Singapore, from 2015 – 2019 consecutively. His specialty is taking spontaneous pictures of family members using natural lighting. The avid photographer revolves his life around family, running and dark chocolates.
