The poor families formed a little community right in the heart of the city, alongside the railway tracks and an old abandoned depot. The adults are forced to work long hours daily to earn a meagre sum that they have very less time to take care of their children, leaving them with the elders at home. Most of the children do not go to school because their parents cannot afford to, and education comes along when volunteers donate old books for them, thus they linger around their surroundings which they consider their playground and home. This is an illustration of the children within their living environment, an expression of life in this little enclave right in the middle of the bustling city of Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
