I capture three-dimensional objects in two-dimensions. Using light and shadow to crop color compositions from everyday objects. These croppings transport me out of this reality into another realm. Here, I forget my worldly existence, and no one notices my presence. No senses. No sounds. I cannot even hear my own breathing. Only my vision functions. I feel detached. But perhaps detached is good. Removed from those senses, I seek ideals, and struggle to understand myself. If only all emotions were colors. If I could exist in a world of only color.
