NEW YORK Metaphisics of the Urban Landscape by Marla Hamburg Kennedy (Author), Gabriele Croppi (Photographer) SIME BOOKS, 2014 The project "Metaphisics of the Urban Landscape" is a research started in 2009 and still ongoing. It gives an interpretation of contemporary metropolitan scenarios detached by their objective image, letting the viewers create their own meanings depending on the different cultural backgrounds. The theoretical foundation of the work is the concept of metaphysic ( from ancient Greek metà= beyond, tà physikà= physical object) and aesthetically it refers to the Italian Metaphysical Painting School, whose leading figure was Giorgio De Chirico.
