Photography is, or can only be a mere representation of reality, it can never be reality; the image is only a representation of the real world filtered trough the eyes of the observer. even if I consider myself a photographer, I am not looking for a beautiful picture and maybe I am not even looking for a picture at all.. The camera is like my key of a door to a new realities, photography is my excuse, is my way of feeding my curiosity about the world, about human life and way of existences different than mine. Sometimes is impossible to approach the idea of understanding a reality and to tell a story without be overwhelmed by reality itself. You go somewhere with so many preconceived images in your mind, so many expectations that it is almost impossible to remain in contact with those ideas you had before because you get so many others and different vibes and stimulations that, at the end, all seems to be impossible to be held, like sand grains in your hand. I went for a month in India, I wanted to tell a story about spirituality but I was confused to not being able to find any real evidence of spirituality. I know that Life and death are so close and sometimes the circle of human existence is so evident and yet intangible that people can spread the ashes of their deceased and bathe in the same pond without real understanding of how this is not just a quaintest habits, but instead is physics, atoms, quantic and so spiritual in such a material way that makes it almost impossible to describe it if you don’t try to think with an illuminate spirit. I did not encounter any form of evident spirituality even tough it was the most spiritual country I have ever visited. here there are some timeless moundane moments of what I experienced.
