The images in this series were made in February, March and April 2009, almost one year after the Sichuan earthquake. They offer a glimpse into the daily life of residents and survivors in Dujiangyan, Jiangyou and Ping Le, Sichuan Province, China. Several million families were still living in relocation camps and had spent the winter without permanent shelter. 42.000 aftershocks had been counted over the previous nine months, and many of the displaced survivors in the hard-hit areas were struggling to recreate a sense of normality.
