San Nicola is a occidental-oriental saint: bishop of Myra, dead in 372 b.c.; the spoils were rescued from the muslims by the mariners from bari in 1.099 b.c., and brought to Bari, where a big church was builted. Nowaday, the feast of San Nicola is celebrated in may, and it claims religious from west and est, because san Nicola is venerated also in oriental europe.
