GHOSTS OF THE FOREST

The photographic series "Waldstudien" (Anatomy of the Forest) represents this quest for the perfect forest, where nature (understood as a product of nature) and artificial (that by man) come together to create an unusual image, mysterious, sometimes spooky. The soul of the perfect forest appears populated of magical beings, barely visible. The intangible materializes in these logs inert, but endowed with spirit. The series is composed of three parts: sketch of a forest, ghosts of the forest, sketch of a tree. The photographs were taken exclusively in the photographerís studio, where the logs were interviened in a performance-like way for the process of the series. A video shows the entire instalation. It is important to note that no images were digitally modified.
