It is said that the 10th of the lunar month of Muharram in the year 61st of the Hegira (October the 10th 680 AD) , the Imam Hossein, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, and 72 companions sacrificed their lives to defend the religion of God, the justice, the freedom and to fight the tyranny of Yazid, Umayyad dynasty, became unfairly caliph. Every year millions of Shiites commemorate the martyrdom according to the rites that have been handed down for hundreds of years.

Claudia Borgia is a documentary photographer who focuses on issues related to women, of any sex, race or religion, to the stories of feminism and trans-feminism, and especially to the stories of minorities. It is driven by the idea of ??being able to divulge stories of people who live in non-free conditions, and at the same time by the need to undermine the "macho" thinking of the society in which we live, together with the preconception linked to ignorance. Photography for Claudia is a social and, at the same time, personal research.
