Guatemala's riot police clash with demonstrators from villages nearby who form part of a mining resistance group who call themselves "La Puya". After two years and two months of peaceful protesting the police evicted about 300 people who were blocking the entrance to a US based mining company, in the village of San Jose del Golfo, Guatemala, on May 23, 2014. The protesters were trying to stop the entry of machinery into the mine.
