My journey back to States was a personal pilgrimage, following family travel routes of 90’s which represents to show the ageing of location and time. Especially, how southwestern States have changed dramatically such as with the images of US border in Nogales. Memory is fluid. In memory, time shifts in linear and interactively summons another one. When memories are piled, it triggers re-experience of the certain incident in a present time. At a certain location, the process of juxtaposing private feelings interact as the anyone’s perception of the world, meaning someone’s pile of experience reveals locality of personal memory adding symbolic and collective reminiscent with social and cultural persistence. Our memory is the result of various feelings while we stay at the certain location i.e. combination of location and time. Overlapping a single image onto one transparent paper works as an instalment of how meanings are layered in a specific location and memories are refreshed through a social relationship as memory is personal but collaborative at the same time. With the experiment on combination of several different printers and papers, images are depend on the randomness of technical aid.
