Natural Abstraction

  • Photographer
    Marcel Crozet

All the pictures of the serie are abstract imprints left by the passage of time erosion and oxidation on matter. These photographs, shot in HDR, were taken in urban no man’s lands where nature has reasserted itself. In places where we do not expect to find any type of aesthetics, such as industrial wastelands, abandoned building sites, or decommissioned factories. “What matters to me is neither the environment, color nor appearance of the object photographed: I only photograph what it evokes. " This original photographic project has received support from the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations and was presented to the United Nations in Geneva from 2 to 20 June 2014 as part of World Environment Day.
