There have been many photos of Dubai captured from this vantage point, but never like this. What you're looking at is a mixture of 3 photos, captured at 3 different times; 3am, 6am and 8am. Unlike the usual time-lapse blended stills where mixing is done with simple gradients, this one is blended with layered masks on a facade-per-facade level. The result is surreal, somewhat disorienting and...pretty neat. I think I'm going to do a few more of these and name the style as 'time-dilation image blending'.
