Lost Behind the Light, Found Beyond the Shadows

These images represent a journey through an imagined desolate land, full of half familiar visual clues that hint at landscape features alongside other emotionally resonant forms. All are created in studio from collections of waste and photographed through primitive homemade lenses. These ambiguous ghostly images become divorced from their true subject matter and challenge traditional photography's limiting obsession with lifelike reproduction. Instead of offering mere facsimiles of real places, they invite the viewer to conjure their own personal world rooted in their own subjective mythology. Thus each viewer travels a different, very personal, journey, as in life.
