Golden Giants

The photos were shot by Joachim in Ithumba at the reintegration center of the DSWT in February 2013. The ex-orphan Challa which lives alraedy together with wild elephants came to the waterhole for drinking in the evening sun. Ithumba in the Tsavo East National Park in Kenya is one of the three reintegration centers run by the DSWT to bring the elephants back to the wild.
