"Disko Meri - PNG Bar Girl"

"Disko Meri" - the name giving to bar girls in Papua New Guinea. Prostitution is still illegal in PNG - but 'Disko Meri' are seen as a front for the oldest profession. HIV infection is rampant in PNG largely through heterosexual sex. Julie - the 'Disko Meri" in the photograph denies she is involved in illegal practises.
