Gray cranes are used to wander from Europe and Asia to Africa in autumn and back in spring. Many of them stop for a break at Agamon Hahula (a small lake located in the north of Israel) and continue on their way the following day. As there are lots of agriculture (like corn and fish) at the area, the cranes started eating it. As a reaction and in order to save the agriculture, the cranes are fed proactively. They are fed every morning. They have so much food that they don’t destroy the nearby agriculture. As a result, many cranes stay in the area in the winter and don’t continue to Africa.
