Painterly Roses

  • Photographer

In this series of photographs, Painterly Roses, I was inspired to create images that spoke to the Old Master painters, Renoir, Vermeer and Toulouse Lautrec. My interpretation of their work resulted in a loose painterly style, elusive and almost a blurred brush stroke effect so that the subject has a dream like quality. The colors emulate those of the old mater's palette-dark with light flooding in.
