The Wellington Centre is a drop in centre offering its clients free or heavily subsidised access to meals and a range of services including acupuncture, hairdressing and chiropractic. Its clients are either homeless of live locally in community housing. My intention was to produce a series of sensitive, intimate portraits which challenge our often stereotyped impressions of disadvantage, showing instead a diverse range of personalities and overwhelmingly proud, intelligent and fun loving people.
