'Heroes' is a free portrait series of so-called Real Life Superheroes in California. The phenomenon of ' Real Life Superheroes ' can mainly be found in the United States, but also in other parts in the world. They are security guards, in the navy, social workers, nurses or still going to school in normal life, but every now and then, some more often than others, they turn into their superhero-selfs to do neighborhood watch, organize a homeless outreach, raise money for donations – or simply rise awareness. Unlike cosplayers, they not only slip in a different role, but actually do have a mission to accomplish.
