Empirical is an invitation to explore personal episodes within the artist’s life, showing six separate studies. The images contain personal possessions collected from his late wife, his son and family. The items are arranged and positioned along side additional articles, which contain religious symbolism and hidden messages revealing cleverly constructed stories. Created as a method to ensure that this period of time would be preserved for his son they openly invite all to explore and enjoy. The inclusion of everyday objects found in most households reveals a similarity and connection to every other normal family who face their own episodes and within each image a realisation to just how alike we all are.
