The Uruguayan coastlines in Rocha and Maldonado share in it´s geography a series of peninsulas and capes reaching out some kilometers into de ocean. From Punta del Este up to Cabo POlonio, these natural sceneries hold lighthouses by their shores. In Cabo Polonio Natural Park, the absence of streets throughout the village leads to the absence of cars. The building free entourage, just some houses and ¨ranchos¨( small wooden houses), which are well apart from each other, causes one to inevitable look out in the distance integrating the sky to the lansdcape giving the sensation of being surrounded by a big space. In addition to this, there are special conditions about the geography in these lands that generate dramatic and overwhelming skyescapes, source of inspiration for this photograph.
