Drastic measures need to be implemented both locally and nationally with our current homelessness. They are people who have lost more than it is comfortable to imagine, their homes, their families and their sense of themselves in the world. There is a continual increase in the number of people taking to the streets with numbers in 2014 around 1500, which boasts the largest concentration of homeless people in the south when considering the size of Brighton and Hove. The majority of us do not seem to see this suffering going on around us. The homeless live in a vacuum of space, an abyss of emptiness, appearing to be visible to know one whilst suffering in silence.
