Sheep farmer Svein Brox has hundred sheep at the island of Tussoy in Northern Norway. It is an island where people traditionally lived from farming and fishing. The sheep wanders freely on the island, and are a natural part of the small society. Brox has just turned seventy and is ready to retire, so he has started slaughtering his sheep. Soon the last farm of the island will be closed down.
