Sami Wedding

A traditional sami wedding should last three days, and the summer wedding of Anne Laila Buljo and Nils Mikael Ahren in Tappeluft was a big celebration with relatives, friends and neighbors. The indigenous people of the Samis live in an area called Sapmi, crossing the northern parts for Norway, Sweden, Finland and Northwest Russia, and the national borders are not that important to many samis. Anne Laila is from Kautokeino in Norwegian part of Sapmi and Nils Mikael is from Sweden.
