The culture of abandonment The abandonment culture in the territory of Reggio Emilia (Italy) has left us many examples, from the intensive urban construction, to abandoned industrial warehouses exposed to deterioration, which often become places of shelter and refuge of the new poverty. The face of the urban environment has changed radically and, along with it, the culture of "no longer recovery" but just abandonment. As evidence of this new culture, buildings and urban architecture take on the role of totems before our eyes, as a symbol of the new civilization. The disco "Marabu Music Hall" located on the Via Emilia in the province of Reggio Emilia is a concrete example. From a popular meeting place in the 70s and 80s it has become, over the course of time, into a place of degradation and abandonment...

I was born in Frattamaggiore (Naples)in 1964 and I live in the province of Reggio Emilia. As a self-taught photographer I keep me up to date through online forums and trade magazines. I have been selected as a photographer by Vogue Italy and Art+Commerce agency in New York I'm represented by InArte / Werrkunst Gallery in Bergamo
