Buzos of Chiloè

Pacific Ocean lost his fruits by the industrial explotation. Chiloean divers are living isolated by the ocean and the rain, isolated on the small and narrow boat, isolated from society, each one looking for a daily economic gain ... day after day, without the will to the future as if this gain regard only the need to survive in life like in a military regime now finished or like in a famine period, never existed on the island. Isolated hanging by a thread. A life in a tunnel in search of oxygen. The isolation also leads to lack of representativeness in society. The inevitable cigarette. They speak quickly, like they are saving oxygen on earth too. They often have red eyes and a robust and compact body. Often it seems that they miss their breath but they does not. It's the habit of using the dispenser in water. It seems to hear them panting, but it's just breathe backbeat from those used to breathe through the mouth.

My name is Simone Francescangeli, I'm a self-made photographer. I come from the Italian province. I picked up the camera with the intention of being able to find a way to express myself in 2010 and just try to tell the life stories of men closely, especially the ordinary ones, related to the need to be able to live day per day. Until now I brought footstes around in Italy, in Europe, South America and Africa.
