Latoboo Shepherds

Winter at the foot of Nanga Parbat (8126m, Northern Pakistan) can be very cold. That is why nobody lives there apart during the few summer months. Nobody but a few strong men - shepherds with their goats and sheep. The animals and humans live together in dugouts in order to warm each other. Only when the Sun is high one the sky they can leave their shelter and they have to be back before the Sunset - as it is extremely cold during the night. There is no electricity, communication or really anything for that matter apart from absolute necessities. The closest village is a full day away.
