Fishermen

  • Photographer
    Lello Danna

Pictures tell a story, each one of these tells about ten minutes of fishermen’s acting life. Fishermen are solitary people, looking at the sea, finding themselves in thoughts, now and then distracted by a swish of a fish eating their baits. Fishermen are a world apart, in the quiet of the nocturnal sea; different technologies, different clothes, but one common passion, to fish, or maybe just to stay there, towards the infinity. Fishermen are social for a bit, they talk about what or how, about lines, lights or baits, they help each others on a knot or a hook, then they sink again, in the sea of their own thoughts. Fishermen are patient: slowly awaiting, they light up the night.
