Trapani is a town on the western coast of Sicily, Italy. This region is known for the production of salt. The salt works in Trapani stretches from Trapani to Marsala and was built in the 16th century. Today the salt marches are part of a nature reserve. The series of pictures originates from our trip to the salt works - starting with a picture of pure nature, continuing with a scene of floating fisher boats to the salt mill that is now also serves as a museum and a restaurant.
