Without papers, ethnic Vietnamese cannot buy land and most of them live in floating villages in Tonle Sap, Southeast Asia's largest freshwater lake, located deep inside Cambodia. Large waves, limited food and dangerous conditions take their toll. The life expectancy of a fisherman is 54 years. Many of the floating villages have their own floating orphanages to help the children without parents.
