Welcome to the humble municipal Lido of Zemun (one of the 17 municipalities of Belgrad, along the Danube river). In summertime the Great War Island (Veliko Ratno Ostrvo), in the middle of the river, is connected to the shore by a pontoon so people can enjoy the island. Anyway here you will not find overcrowded beaches and noisy screaming children It seems that the island, even if connected to the main land, remains isolated, standing still in time. A place where people and things move following the sleeping stream of the river. Till sunset, when people return home and at their everyday life.
