"Sunday best" means the festive dress. Every Sunday I went to the churchyard of a church or in the area immediately adjacent to document the people who leave the church after mass. Every single garment worn has a cultural and social meaning. In it are condensed some functions handed down or evolved over time: that practice linked to the wearability; the aesthetic with the taste of the time and specific canons of the different communities; the symbolic thanks to which the dress can define membership of a particular community, and specifically identify the social status, social or religious.
