Project “STOP” explores re-configured captured moments in a mesmeric and fragmented narrative. Anastasiia’s technique interplays her selection of bold imagery assembled with bright painterly and expressive mark making. One significant interest of her is play of identity between our public and private selves. Within different social settings the subject reveals extroadinary identities, layering alternative realities and surprising experiences against each other: “Sometimes what you see in your head is more than what you can see around you. As an artist I work with autobiographical and imaginary inner worlds encapsulating them in fragmented and manipulated photographic image applying an expressive painterly mark.”
