Summer memories

I've always been passionated about life stories. Some places abound with stories in specific periods of the year. In August the beaches are a concentrate of colorful umbrellas. These are red, blue, striped, with floral patterns or fringes, large and small, lightweight or resistant, made of plastic or fabric. Every umbrella tells the story of his owner and bather. Under the umbrellas we can find interessing choreographies composed of varied objects. We find dresses, hair, costumes, shopping bags, glasses, bags, water wings. I tried to record through photography these bizarre compositions, different in orders and tastes, as expressions of various personalities. I photographed the most curious umbrellas, especially the older ones, easily recognizable by the vintage fabric. This work allowed me to know many people and the nice conversations guided me during the fase of postproduction of the pictures. The special effects given to the photographs want to tell the emotions that I experienced by person while walking along the beach of Sperlonga, southern Italy.

I was born in 1975 in Rome. I graduated in Political Science and later studied photography at Graffiti Agency and at the Popular University of Rome. I have been working as freelance photographer since 2006, collaborating with magazines, newspapers and companies. Since 2008 I am member of an association of biographers based in Rome, with which I collaborate on European projects. In 2015 I trained in Web Documentary. I currently work at school as a socio-pedagogical professional educator and I have just completed my training as a music therapist at Artedo School in Rome.
