Crime Scene

The concept behind this series of photographs is to explore Wolfgang Iser’s determinations of the fictive and my current photographic investigations into crime scene photography. My method takes an appropriate pre-existing subject and via the inclusion of suitable forensic markers reconfigures the found subject. This reconfiguration intimates the demarcated surface as evidence to an unobserved crime. In photographing the fictionalised “scene” I choose to categorise the subject as evidential. What stays unclear is whether the identification of the subject as evidence is truthful or false.
