I love to play with color in my photography. Color and light turn otherwise lifeless forms into dreamy elements. In this series, I am walking around my city, capturing the steel forms of New York City's skyline through the eyes of a child and painting them in my own "coloring book", titled Steel Candy.
Bahar Kural is an award winning photographer specializing in abstract, fine art, landscape, street and architectural photography. A native of Istanbul, Bahar lives in NYC with her two children. In her free time, when she is not taking pictures, Bahar runs her own full service Real Estate Development Firm, Bahar Kural Development, which specializes in building small-scale developments and restoration projects in NYC. Her love of building beautiful spaces goes hand-in-hand with her love of creating one-of-a kind photographic art.
