Highway No. 18 has carried the Tsou culture in Taiwan, the history of forestry railway for hundreds of years, and the abundant ecological environment in the past. It was a forestry railway built to facilitate the logging. For the mountain railway is at an elevation of 2,216 meters, we get to see the changes of the vegetation from tropical, subtropical to temperate forest zones along the way up the mountain, as well as the mountain ranges and valleys. There are often tons of histories and stories behind the scenery that we need to reflect and learn.
