Water Encounter

  • Photographer
    Simone Francescangeli

Beginning of a personal research. The encounter between man and water is never without pain. The screams of water doesn't matter. The perception of human precariousness doesn't matter. The water tries to take back its own space. Under the carpet of water, under the shadows of titans, small wires of grass are trying to grow. The consumption flows, human lives flows. There are opportunities to reflect on water essentiality, on us and our fears. We leave traces collected by water... between life and death.

My name is Simone Francescangeli, I'm a self-made photographer. I come from the Italian province. I picked up the camera with the intention of being able to find a way to express myself in 2010 and just try to tell the life stories of men closely, especially the ordinary ones, related to the need to be able to live day per day. Until now I brought footstes around in Italy, in Europe, South America and Africa.
