New York Synchronicity is a collage of over 400 photographs, taken at different times and days on the streets of Manhattan. From the thousands taken, I selected those photographs that best depicted the people and its city, respecting its legendary past and evolving presence. I combined the images together in digital format, layering and blending to create the visual story. A city of multiple personalities, New York and its neighborhoods embrace diversity, creativity and ingenuity. From the waters of the Hudson, to the iconic skyline, my focus was to capture the urban aesthetic and personality that epitomizes the essence of New York City.
Award-winning Chicago photographer, Gail Mancuso, captures the unique pulse, silhouettes and forms reflected in urban landscapes, the female form and pop culture. Through her lens, Gail renders these quotidian subjects into strikingly elaborate compositions that subtly blur the boundary between photography and painterly impressions. Beyond creating large-scale art for public and corporate installations, her limited-edition works are held in private collections throughout the US, UK and Italy.
